Beautiful America

This year we spent our vacations in Canada and in the USA and

we really enjoyed it.

In recent years we often travelled with christian groups, but this time

we were on our own.

Maybe it wouldn't be easy to drive 6000 km, searching the hotels, talking English (uli)

all the time ...

but we knew God on our side.

He gave us words to trust in HIM, before we started and on the trip.

Most of them had to do with Jesus/ the LORD as a rock.

In Canada are many rocks- the Rocky Mountains of course. When we saw them,

we could always remember Jesus.

Even when our car was damaged by little stones, we trusted Jesus to help us and he did.

The one time we got a new car and the other time the car window didn't break through until the end of our trip.

Jesus showed us the beauty of his nature and we really enjoyed it.

For two weeks we did a round trip starting in Calgary driving down to the Waterton National Park, crossing the border, driving through Montana to Wyoming where we visited the Yellowstone National Park, driving back north to the Glacier National Park and on to Banff.

Then we went to B.C. where we stayed on the Red Willow Guest Ranch for 5 days.

All in all a great vacation.

Thank you Jesus for guiding us, for encouraging and protecting us!

Long live the king

Der Titel von meinem Blog ist zurückzuführen auf ein Lied der schwedischen Formation
"Narnia". Die christliche Metalband, deren Name auf die Narnia-Chroniken von C.S.Lewis zurückgeht, wurde 1996 von "Modest Attraction"-Sänger Christian Liljegren (Rivel) und
Carl Johann Grimmark, Ex-Gitarrist von "Sentinel", gegründet.
Ihr Stil ist Melodic-Metal. 2008 gab Liljegren seinen Ausstieg bekannt, er singt aber zusätzlich für die christliche Power-Metal Band "Divinefire". Neuer Sänger von Narnia ist German Pascual,
ein Brasilianer.
Im April 2008 durfte ich Narnia live bei den "Legends of Rock" in Ennepetal erleben und ich fand sie supergut. Christian Liljegren hat es verstanden, sein Publikum mitzureißen.
Das Lied "Long live the King" handelt natürlich von Jesus Christus, dem größten König der Geschichte. Für IHN soll dieser Blog sein, dem Gottessohn, dem wahren Hohepriester, Messias- ja Gott selbst! Lang lebe der König-Long live the king!

Über den Sinn und Unsinn eines Blogs

Welcome to the Muppet-Show!
So oder so ähnlich könnte man die Bloggermania sicherlich
bezeichnen. Hier ist für jeden was dabei. Von Kochrezepten über Star-
Gequatsche bis zu purem Voyeurismus. Sie sind (fast) live mit dabei und auch Schweine im Weltall werden in Zukunft immer wahrscheinlicher.
Endlich darf jeder, ja wirklich jeder, der über einen Internetzugang vefügt, seine freie Meinung äußern. Na ja, zumindest so lange, bis dein Chef herausgefunden hat, dass du einen Blog hast...
Mit einem Blog, da bist du wer, du hast etwas zu sagen- oder auch nicht...
DSDS war gestern, bloggen ist heute- und das ganz ohne Casting und ohne Jury.
Wow!

Es gibt allerdings auch tolle Blogs und für Leute, die das beruflich nutzen, ist das schon toll.
Missionare zum Beispiel, die keine Zeit zum Rundbriefschreiben haben.

Auch ich werde ab und an meinen Senf ein wenig dazugeben. Und entschuldige mich schonmal dafür, wenn ich jemandem auf die Füße trete. Das könnte durchaus Absicht sein.

Der Grund, warum ich kein Blogger-Fan bin, ist allerdings der: es dauert immer so lange, bis ich die Tasten gefunden und meine Gedanken geordnet habe!!! Es vergehen Monate...ich habe das Schreiben wohl nicht erfunden. Grinns!
